Nancy (Colbert) Donnelly
B.A. (Hons.), LL.B.
Nancy (Colbert) Donnelly moved to Arnprior over 30 years ago when her family bought a farm close to town. While she was going to high school at ADHS she worked as her brother Tim Colbert’s first legal secretary in his newly launched Arnprior law office. Little did she know she’d be back 30 years later to take over his practice when he retired!
For over 20 years Nancy practiced in downtown Ottawa as a litigation lawyer and a mediator for the Courts. She developed an expertise in assisting people resolve their conflicts with a down to earth approach and a heavy dose of common sense. Nancy transitioned into a real estate, wills and estates practice over the past few years in Arnprior when she joined her brother Tim. The brother and sister legal team worked alongside one another until Tim retired. Now Nancy and her law clerk Tracey, who was born and raised here, are keeping the tradition alive as they continue to serve the legal needs of the people in Arnprior and the surrounding area.
Nancy & Tracey love helping their clients’ dreams come true whether they are buying or selling their first home or their 10th; and watching them begin new chapters in their lives. They never take for granted that the legal process can be a stressful time and they do whatever they can to help alleviate the stress and make the legal aspect of buying and selling a home as seamless as possible.
Nancy particularly enjoys meeting with clients to ensure that their affairs are in order as they finalize their Wills, Powers of Attorney and Estates. She has seen firsthand how important it is to protect your loved ones in case of an unforeseen accident, illness or death. She knows that when clients ask for her help that this is often a very difficult time for them. Her compassion and empathy are transparent and valued.
In her spare time Nancy enjoys spending time with her own family. She has been married to Shawn for 30 years and they have been blessed with four children which keep them very busy!
